Which type of lubricants should I use with my dilators?

When using dilators for pelvic health therapy, it is recommended to use a water-based lubricant. Water-based lubricants are gentle, non-irritating, and compatible with most types of dilators. They provide a smooth and slippery surface, making insertion and movement more comfortable. just make sure it says water-based and not silicone-based, as the silicone based lubricants can damage the silicone on your dilators. We highly recommend using Slippery Stuff Lubricant which can be found at Remington Medical.

Are Intimate Rose dilators high quality ?

Yes, absolutely. Intimate Rose spent an incredible amount of time and effort to ensure their dilators are the highest quality dilators on earth. Each one of Intimate Rose’s vaginal dilators uses a smooth, body safe, medical grade silicone that’s BPA free and designed to comfortably glide into the body. As you’re researching other dilators, you’ll find that other silicone dilators can be very sticky to the touch, which is the opposite of what you want when you’re having pain with penetration and medical exams. The plastic dilators are extremely hard and uncomfortable to use. Intimate Rose silicone dilators are made to be comfortable to insert yet firm enough to hold their shape, and provide the most true to life experience so your body is ready for the real thing.

How do I clean my dilator?

The dilators are easy to clean, simply use a mild soap and warm water. Avoid bleach or any harsh chemicals for your safety.

How do I know which size dilator set to purchase?

If you’re trying to accommodate tampons or medical exams, you’ll most likely want to start with the Small 4-Pack or Full 8-Piece Dilator Set. If you’re trying to accommodate your partner for intercourse, try using a measuring tape to measure the length, width, and circumference you’d like to support. Be sure to start a few sizes below where you want to end up, because you will need to slowly work up to supporting that size. Another method to figuring out which size you need is to use the finger test. If you can NOT fit 0 or 1 finger into your vaginal or rectal opening without pain or bleeding, then you will want to start with the first set (Small Dilator 4-pack, sizes 1-4). If you can fit 1 or 2 fingers in, then you will want the medium dilator set (Medium Dilator 4-pack, sizes 3-6), and if you can easily fit 2 fingers, but not 3, without pain, then you will want to purchase the large dilator set (Large Dilator 4-pack, sizes 4-8). Many people like to purchase the full 8-piece dilator set because it’s the best value and it allows for the maximum range of sizes.
