As the exclusive Canadian distributor for NOVAK M, I represented Remington Medical and travelled to Ljubljana, Slovenia for a global partner meeting at their headquarters. This visit was especially meaningful, as it allowed us to see firsthand the people, processes, and values behind the treatment table and stools we have been bringing to clinics across Canada.

A major highlight of the trip was touring the new, purpose built manufacturing facility spanning 3 floors. The space was designed around lean manufacturing principles, allowing for efficient workflows and minimal waste. This focus on efficiency helps manage costs while maintaining high quality, something that directly benefits the end user.
The facility also features advanced robotic welders, delivering consistent and precise frame construction. Seeing skilled technicians working alongside robotic systems reinforced how they balance modern technology with hands-on craftsmanship.
Walking through the facility and watching each treatment table come together step by step highlighted the level of care behind every product. Every detail is considered so clinicians can focus entirely on their patients.
Learning from a Global Community
Beyond the factory tour, the meeting included workshops focused on sharing best practices from around the world. Hearing how physiotherapists, chiropractors, and clinics operate in different countries offered valuable insight.
Those conversations directly influence how we support Canadian clinics, from education and training to helping practitioners choose tables that truly fit their needs and space.
A Taste of Slovenia Beyond the Factory
A trip to Slovenia would not be complete without visiting the Postojna Cave, one of the country’s most iconic natural landmarks. Deep beneath the surface, the cave has been shaped over millions of years as mineral-rich water slowly forms stalactites, drop by drop, creating structures that are both precise and enduring.
Experiencing this process was a fitting reflection of Slovenian pride and craftsmanship. Much like the cave itself, NOVAK M’s approach is built patiently over time, with careful attention to detail and a long-term mindset. It was a powerful reminder that the best things are not rushed, but intentionally built to last.
