Provides direct support for the thumb CMC joint while allowing full finger function.

Patented contoured neoprene strap wraps around the thumb CMC joint and the first metacarpal for direct CMC joint support.
Specifically designed for osteoarthritis and medial subluxation of the thumb CMC joint.
Reinforced stitching allows the splint to be trimmed below the thumb MP joint if desired.
Provides gentle compression that helps relieve thumb discomfort associated with CMC joint arthritis and/or instability, tendinitis or repetitive motion.
Made of thin, 1/16" (1.6mm) perforated neoprene with a terry cloth liner that helps keep skin cool and comfortable.
Plus sizes are a half size bigger in the hand and a full size larger in thumb circumference to accommodate enlarged thumb conditions.
Not made with natural rubber latex.
Anti-microbial.

Splint stretches too easily

I found this splint comfortable (more so than others I've had) and supportive. Good snug fit at first but only after a week, it has stretched. The strap that goes over the palm & between thumb & finger is now so long it almost reaches past the velcro. If it keeps stretching I don't know how I will fasten it.

hard to find; best soft brace I've ever worn

My title says it all. I have arthritis in both lower thumb joints on both hands. For decades I have crocheted 3-4 hours a day. Now I need soft-brace support to help fend off at least some of the pain. I have small hands/wrists so I need a size S+ in this splint, but that particular size is hard to find. My hand physiotherapist sold me a left-hand version of the same thing last year and it's wonderful. A year later now and even my physio is having trouble getting a right hand version from her supplier. So I'm super glad I finally found this one at Remington Medical!!!

Great solution as a working splint for CMC repetitive stress injury.

I used it in 2020 snd 2022 as a working splint. My physio said it was also okay to wear it at night when my thumb was very inflammed and painful. It was an essential element to my rehabilitation.
