Ohnut Buffer Rings

Ohnut is a body-safe wearable device invented by Emily Sauer, who experienced a decade of painful sex. Some of the technical terms for pain during sex are "dyspareunia" and "Genito Pelvic Pain Penetration Disorder" (GPPPD).

INVENTOR BY NECESSITY

People are always hesitant to ask me why I created Ohnut. Because I needed it! I always assumed sex was supposed to be painful sometimes, so for years I worked around it and never spoke up… until finally the physical discomfort from sex made me feel like a failure—to myself and my partner. So when I came up with the crazy idea to put a pink frosted donut on a penis... everything changed. I experienced not only physical relief but an emotional upheaval. I finally realized that it wasn’t my fault. -Emily Sauer, Ohnut Founder

About the Ohnut Brand:

75% of women will have painful sex in their lifetime, a shared experience often ignored. Ohnut is uplifting the conversation about sexual health as a matter of health, with mission-driven wearables that are simple to use, easy to talk about, and can help a range of challenges - while encouraging partners to connect with their bodies, and each other. Since our launch we've seen a snowball of press, emotionally triumphant reviews, and a chorus of "It's about damn time."

Ohnut works by allowing you to easily customize how deep penetration goes. The device is placed externally at the base of your partner’s penis or on a toy. It compresses down to act as a cushion during sex. Ohnut comes with four linking rings so that you can adjust the depth of penetration for your comfort. A lubricant - water or silicon-based is considered essential to using Ohnut.
